Brosch scores 3 runs to Power Giants Offense
The Detroit Giants defeated the New York Nightmare, 12-8, at Ballpark of Detroit. Detroit left fielder Keith Brosch had a superb performance. He went 2-2 with a home run and 3 walks, while scoring 3 and driving in 3. Chris Fitzsimmons, 3-3, earned the win in relief. He allowed 2 runs on 5 hits in 2.2 innings. Earning his 16th save of the year was Lee Maher.

Bill Shahan's at-bat in the bottom of the sixth inning was a big one for Detroit. Coming to bat with two out, runners on 2nd and 3rd and Detroit trailing 7-4, the center fielder hit a 2-run single.

"See ball, hit ball. When I think too much, that's when I get in trouble," Brosch told the Detroit Today.

Detroit raised its record to 77-66 with the win.
