Daytona Beach catcher Chris Wagner helped his team beat the Carolina Reapers, 7-5. Wagner went 2 for 4 for the Sea Turtles. Brian Hennick got credit for the save for Daytona Beach. It was his 5th of the year. The Sea Turtles, now 65-77, have won 5 in a row.

Had Marcos Santiago not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 2nd and 3rd, Santiago hit a 2-run single. That made the score 7-5, in favor of the Sea Turtles.

"Every time I go up there, I try and hit a ball hard," said Wagner.
