Though he had a terrific game, Matt Blevins could not prevent his team, the Austin Desperados, from absorbing a loss. Dallas won the game, 5-3. Blevins was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. The win went to Luis Najera in relief. His record improves to 2-0. Byron Stanton took the loss. The Dragons have now reeled off 6 straight wins.

Dallas won the game in part because of Carlos Rodriguez. The third baseman ripped a 2-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Dragons ahead, 3-0. For the game, Rodriguez had 1 double and 1 home run in 4 at-bats.
