Stars Take Down Nightmare, 6-5
New York designated hitter Rob Black had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Black hit 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice, even as Hollywood beat the Nightmare, 6-5. Jason Hollenbeck got credit for the save for Hollywood. It was his 6th of the year. The Stars improved their record to 64-76 by beating New York.

Hollywood used the timely hitting of Jared Scafidi to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Stars on top, 6-5. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Hollywood manager Sean Simmers.
