Whistlers Rally Late to Clip Carolina
Behind a solid performance from shortstop Evan Stowe, the Boston Whistlers defeated the Carolina Reapers, 9-8. Stowe was 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2 for the Whistlers. By defeating Carolina, the first-place Whistlers improved to 77-58.

Boston used the clutch hitting of Mike Fowler to capture the win. The catcher drilled a 2-run double in the top of the ninth inning to give the Whistlers the lead, 9-8. For the game, Fowler had 1 single and 2 doubles in 4 at-bats.
