Gangsters Stumble, Lose to Invaders
|
No one was more impactful than Mitch Jarka in the 10-4 Oakland win over Chicago. Jarka was 2-4 with a home run. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4. Jaiden Harvey picked up the win, improving his season record to 9-7. He struck out 4 in 6 innings. Rich Hepler got the save, his 2nd in 7 chances.
Early in the game, designated hitter Jonathan Cunningham had a 2-run double for Oakland. It was his 25th double of the season and put the Invaders on top, 3-1.
"If it's down the middle," said Jarka, "you might as well hit it."
The second-place Invaders hiked their record to 76-57.
