Gladiators Fall Short, 2-1, at Maine
Maine pitcher Matt Graham did his part in helping his team defeat the Phoenix Gladiators, 2-1. The opposition could never get too much going against the left-hander. The winning pitcher was Graham, now 12-6. He tossed 6.1 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 7. Chris Hames wrapped it up, recording his 6th save.

Making an impact for the home team was Julio Negron. In the bottom of the fourth, the 24-year old right fielder had a run-scoring ground out. That made the score 2-0, Pines.

Negron said the team appreciates the support from the fans. "I'm glad we could reward them with a good win," he said after the game.

Maine now sits at 79-54, while Phoenix falls to 61-72.
