The Maine Pines had to overcome a big game from Indianapolis right fielder Chris Boyd to leave Eagles Stadium with a victory. And they did, winning, 7-5. Boyd slugged 2 home runs. Maine reliever Stephen Boland was the winner. His record is now 1-3. Aaron Daniels took the loss. Indianapolis has now lost 4 consecutive games.

Maine needed the clutch hitting of Julio Negron to notch the win. The left fielder hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Pines on top, 6-5. For the game, Negron had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"It's the best feeling when you come through for your teammates," said Negron.
