The Oakland Invaders blasted the Chicago Gangsters, 15-5. Ruben Alamo was one of the hitting stars. He was 4-4 with a home run and 2 doubles. He scored 4 times and drove in 4 for Oakland. David Holloman, credited with the win in relief, is now 3-0. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2 innings. The third-place Invaders improved to 27-28.

In the bottom of the sixth, the Invaders grabbed the lead when Alamo hit his 8th double of the season. The run-scoring double off Chris Zich made it 6-5, Oakland.
