Brosch Hits 2 home runs in Giants Win
The home crowd had a good time watching the Syracuse Scorpions and Detroit Giants get after it.

Detroit left fielder Keith Brosch contributed significantly to his team's 8-2 win over the Syracuse Scorpions. Brosch, who finished 5th in the AC in runs with 110 last year, went 3 for 5 with 3 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Giants. Julian Bryant, the winner, improved to 1-1. He held Syracuse to 2 runs on 6 hits over 8.2 innings, while racking up 11 strikeouts.

With Detroit leading 3-2 in the bottom of the fifth, Brosch hit a fastball from Greg Brittingham for a 2-run home run. It was his 2nd home run of the season and put the Giants ahead, 5-2.

"We were firing on all cylinders," said Giants manager Sean O'Leary.

Syracuse now has a record of 5-1.
