The Fountain Hills 23ers weathered an outstanding game by San Francisco center fielder Dan Brewer to topple the Fire, 10-6. Brewer was 3-5 with a triple and a double, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. The third-place 23ers sport a record of 24-31.

Mike Townsend hit a bases-clearing double off Marcos Rosas in the bottom of the second, which put the 23ers in front, 8-5. In addition to the double, Townsend had 1 single, while going 2 for 4.

"It was offense that won us the game," said winning manager Efren Nieman.
