The Syracuse Scorpions converted a terrific effort from starter Tyler Kraus into a win over the Daytona Beach Sea Turtles at Scorpion Stadium. The Scorpions won the game by a final score of 6-2. In 5.1 innings, Kraus surrendered 3 hits, while striking out 5 and walking 1. He allowed 1 run. The last-place Scorpions improved to 19-36.

Syracuse got a big at-bat from Holdrege, Nebraska native Ryan Mallory, who in the bottom of the fourth hit a bases-clearing double. It was his 13th double of the season and put the Scorpions ahead, 4-1.

"Tyler gets tougher when he has to, makes a big pitch when he has to," said Syracuse skipper Ricardo Lopez.
