The San Diego Fleet took on the Philadelphia Marauders at Marauders Ballpark.

The San Diego Fleet withstood a fine game by Philadelphia shortstop Adam Tyndall at Marauders Ballpark, to upend the Marauders, 10-5. Tyndall was 2-3 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 3. Rodolfo Soto got the win, improving to 4-3. He held the Marauders to 3 runs on 6 hits over 5.2 innings, while striking out 10 and walking 2.

San Diego used the stroke of Paul Pittman to get the win. The third baseman hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Fleet ahead, 4-2. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it did its damage.

"The boys were really swinging the bats today," winning manager Brian Burnett said.

San Diego, at 30-24, is 3½ games up in the National Conference West Division.
