The Daytona Beach Sea Turtles picked up a win at Whislters Park, topping the Boston Whistlers, 6-3. On the mound for Daytona Beach was right-hander Scott Reynolds. He played a principal role in the triumph. The last-place Sea Turtles are now 24-30, the Whistlers 29-25.

Clark Owens had a big 2-run home run for the Sea Turtles in the top of the first inning. With Daytona Beach leading 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he sized up a sinker from Matthew Rowlands, who is tied for 6th in the AC in wins with 5, and punished it. The result was his 7th home run of the season, which put the Sea Turtles on top, 3-0.

"It doesn't matter if you're 10 games over .500 or 10 games under, it feels good to win," Owens told the Daytona Beach Chronicle.
