Invaders Rally For Late Win Over Gangsters
The Chicago Gangsters got a sterling performance from pitcher Bobby Nowlin, but the Oakland Invaders still prevailed, 4-2. Nowlin threw 6.0 innings of shutout ball. Evan Pullman claimed the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2 innings. His record stands at 1-5. The save went to Idhma Kodandarami, his 8th this season.

Cameron Williams hit a 2-run double off Arturo Alvarado in the bottom of the eighth, which put the Invaders in front, 3-2. In addition to the double, Williams had 1 single, while going 2 for 4.

After the game, Oakland manager Dillon Moyer applauded the team's effort. "They busted their tails out there," he said.

By defeating Chicago, the third-place Invaders improved to 26-27.
