Sea Turtles Suffer 5-2 Road Loss
|
Charleston left fielder Juan Ortiz played a vital role in his team's 5-2 conquest of Daytona Beach. He went 2-3 with 2 singles and a walk. He scored 3 runs for Charleston. Charleston has now won 3 in a row.
An inflection point occurred with one out in the bottom of the third. That's when Sea Dogs designated hitter Ernesto Ramirez hit a sinker from Alan Champagne for a 2-run single. Just like that, Charleston was up, 2-1.
"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Ramirez told the Charleston Bulletin.
