Ulmer Helps Mounties Win, 5-2, with Pair of Homers
|
The Vancouver Mounties defeated the Hollywood Stars, 5-2, in part because of designated hitter Richard Ulmer. Ulmer belted 2 home runs. He drove in 5 runs and scored twice for the Mounties. Chris Brown closed the game out for Vancouver, earning his 10th save. Today's win puts Vancouver at 18-32, while Hollywood falls to 21-29.
Early in the game, Ulmer had a 3-run home run for Vancouver. It was his 15th home run of the season and put the Mounties on top, 3-0.
"Trying isn't good enough in this league," said Ulmer. "You've got to get results."
