Phoenix Loses, 7-6, Despite Husley Performance
Phoenix designated hitter Zack Husley had a good game, even if his team did not. The Gladiators dropped a 7-6 decision to Austin at Dell Diamond. Husley was 2 for 2 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 3 and driving in 3. Getting the save was Bob Baucke, his 10th. The win makes Austin 23-27.

The game was at a stalemate until second baseman Drew Riggi came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Facing Phoenix pitcher Ryan Robertson, he hit a 1-0 fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Austin on top, 7-6.

"Another day, another win. On to the next one," Riggi told the Austin Daily.
