The Austin Desperados earned a close win over the Tampa Bay Captains, thanks in part to Matt Parsons. The Austin right-hander, who finished 3rd in the AC in wins with 15 in 2020, played a key role in the 10-inning, 3-2 victory. The Desperados improved their record to 25-23 by beating Tampa Bay.

The decisive blow was delivered in the bottom of the tenth when Ramon Dozal hit a run-scoring double off 29-year old left-handed pitcher Jesse Vecchio to win the game for Austin. The home crowd went wild.

"The game is never over 'til it's over," said a jubilant Adam Ponder, the Austin skipper.
