Gladiators Win Nail-Biter in 13
Phoenix beat Chicago at Gladiators Ballpark, eking out a 6-5 win. The triumph was primarily due to catcher Mike Pierskalla. He went 4 for 6 with a home run and 3 singles. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. With the win, the Gladiators have a record of 25-23.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the 13th. With no one out, Pierskalla hit a curveball from Chris Zich for a solo home run. The Gladiators, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

"It's a thrill to get that kind of win," Pierskalla said.
