Maine left fielder Skyler Fundis was sensational. He was 3 for 4 with a home run and a double. He scored 3 runs. But it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. San Francisco beat the Pines, 7-3. Getting the save was Keith Hawes, his 2nd. The Fire, at 24-24, sit in third place in the National Conference West Division.

San Francisco took a 6-3 lead in the bottom of the eighth inning, when Malcolm Babcock hit a clutch 3-run home run to bring Fire fans to their feet.

Babcock said his team "played with determination."
