Appling scores 3 runs to Power Mounties Offense
The 13-6 Vancouver win over Cincinnati was due largely to Troy Appling. The Mounties center fielder was 2-4 with a home run, a triple, and a walk, while scoring 3 times and driving in 3. Adam Ryan got the win, improving to 4-4. He worked 5 innings, giving up 4 runs on 7 hits, while striking out 2 and walking 4. The last-place Mounties have a record of 17-31.

With Vancouver leading 4-3 in the bottom of the fourth, Appling hit a changeup from Casey Abbott for a solo home run. It was his 3rd home run of the season and put the Mounties ahead, 5-3.

"This is not a one-man show," said Appling. "A lot of the guys stepped up."
