San Francisco center fielder Raul Arreola had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Arreola went 2-3 with a home run and a double. He drove in 3 runs and scored once, even as Maine beat the Fire, 6-4. The winning pitcher was Justin Jemison. He's now 5-2. He went 6 innings, allowing 4 runs on 5 hits for the Pines. The current losing streak for San Francisco has reached 4 games.
Maine used the timely hitting of Pete Roan to seize the win. The first baseman stroked a 2-run single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Pines on top, 6-4. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"We ground out the win," said Roan. "That's all that matters."
