A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Phoenix Gladiators and Syracuse Scorpions.

The Phoenix Gladiators got a stellar effort from pitcher Bob Rehm, helping Phoenix score a win over the visiting Syracuse Scorpions, 5-2. Ryan Robertson collected save number 1.

Ben Figueroa, who is tied for 9th in the AC in triples with 2, chipped in a 2-run home run for Phoenix in the bottom of the third. For the game, the center fielder had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 2 runs batted in.

"It never gets old," said Rehm. "Winning, that is."

With the win, Phoenix raised its record to 23-23.
