Jared Trombley was terrific for the Oakland Invaders in his team's 4-0 triumph over the Detroit Giants. His performance earned Trombley rave reviews. Trombley yielded no runs over 5 innings to notch the win. He scattered 3 hits, walked 1, and struck out 4. His record improves to 1-1. The Invaders raised their record to 23-22.

The tide might have turned in the top of the fifth, had not Jared Trombley made a big pitch. With runners on 1st and 2nd and the Giants trailing 3-0, he retired Chris Lutz when the Detroit right fielder flied out.
