Gangsters Get 8-5 Win Versus Austin
The rain did not keep Chicago and Austin from finishing their game.

The Chicago Gangsters bumped off the Austin Desperados, 8-5, at Dell Diamond. Dan Richardson hit 2 singles and 1 double. He also had 2 runs batted in. Ruben Lopez notched the win in relief. The left-hander allowed 2 runs on 4 hits in 2.1 innings. His record now sits at 4-0.

Jon Fritz had a key at-bat with one out in the top of the fourth for Chicago. With the bases loaded and the Gangsters leading 3-2, he hit a sacrifice fly.

"We'll just keep our nose to the grindstone," Fritz told the Chicago Herald.

With the win, the Gangsters improved to 16-29.
