McKinstry Heroics Not Enough in 9-8 Loss to New York
The New York Nightmare weathered a fine game by Oakland first baseman Steve McKinstry to upend the Invaders, 9-8, at Nightmare Stadium. McKinstry was 4 for 5 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. New York reliever Adam Coleman picked up the win, upping his record to 3-2. Tom Paolucci absorbed the loss. The Nightmare have now won 4 straight.

Matt Davis hit a 2-run double off Tom Paolucci in the bottom of the seventh, which put the Nightmare in front, 8-7. In addition to the double, Davis had 1 single, while going 2 for 4.
