Royals Earn Late Win
|
The Cincinnati Royals and San Diego Fleet played an entertaining game for The Castle patrons.
Getting offensive support from Aaron Jalbert, the Cincinnati Royals topped the San Diego Fleet, 4-3. Jalbert was 3-3 with 3 singles and a walk for the Royals. Cincinnati pitcher Roberto Salazar got the win. He's now 1-1. Brad Antol was tagged with the loss.
Cincinnati took a 4-3 lead on Pat Kirchner's 2nd double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Kirchner hit in the bottom of the eighth, left San Diego pitcher Brad Antol visibly frustrated.
"Say want you want about this team, they play nine innings hard," said Cincinnati manager Justin Aaron.
The second-place Royals bumped their record to 27-17.
