Dappen K's 11 En Route to 2-0 Eagles Win
The Indianapolis Eagles picked up a win at Eagles Stadium, taking down the San Francisco Fire, 2-0. Starting pitcher Ray Dappen was a big reason why. James Gibson got the save, the 9th for him this season. The setback makes San Francisco 23-21.

Dappen, who leaned on his fastball, allowed no runs on just 3 hits over 7.1 innings for the Eagles. For the most part, San Francisco hitters were simply overmatched.

"Ray is tough to beat when he's hitting his spots," said Indianapolis manager Pete DuBay.
