Hennig, Eagles Stop Stars, 2-1
|
Fans witnessed a whale of a game between the Indianapolis Eagles and Hollywood Stars.
The Indianapolis Eagles received a sterling performance from starting pitcher John Hennig, allowing them to shoot down the Hollywood Stars, 2-1. Picking up the save was James Gibson, his 8th.
Hennig was dominant for Indianapolis. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 4 hits, while racking up 8 strikeouts. He threw 98 pitches over 8 innings in the contest.
"I was a little disappointed," said Hollywood manager Alex Aguilera. "We could've and should've scored more runs."
Indianapolis is last in the National Conference North East Division with a record of 22-21.
