The home crowd had a good time watching the Chicago Gangsters and Halifax Heathens get after it.

Halifax pitcher Jack Ivory had a large part in his team beating the Chicago Gangsters, 6-3. The left-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Jeff Buck nailed down his 13th save.

The Heathens got a big at-bat from shortstop Leo Orozco. For the game, Orozco went 1 for 4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the third, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 14th home run of the season gave Halifax a 3-1 lead.

"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Orozco told the Halifax Today.

The Gangsters, now 12-30, have lost 4 straight.
