The Boston Whistlers picked up a win at Whislters Park, knocking off the Halifax Heathens, 3-0. Starting pitcher Pat Wilber was a big reason why. Wilber got the win, improving to 2-2. He gave up 2 hits and walked 4 over 6.2 innings. He allowed no runs. With the win, Boston upped its record to 29-13.

The game was on the line with two out in the top of the seventh inning, but Kory Tourville didn't flinch. With the bases loaded and Halifax trailing 2-0, Tourville retired Mike Doherty to end the threat. "Nothing to it," said Tourville, with a wink.
