Hollywood registered a win at Hollywood Grounds by beating the San Francisco Fire, 4-3. Pitcher Nick McGettigan was one reason why the Stars triumphed. The Stars have now reeled off 6 straight wins.

The game-ending blow was delivered by Mike Pierskalla in the bottom of the ninth. That's when he hit a run-scoring double off 25-year old left-handed pitcher Jon Messer to win it for Hollywood and cause the home crowd to erupt in celebration.

"The crowd was juiced," said Pierskalla.
