Ryan Atkins had a good game, but he could not keep the Chicago Gangsters from falling, 6-5, to the Dallas Dragons at Tennant Healthcare Ballpark. The Chicago right fielder was 2 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once in the loss. Dallas reliever Mike Fisher picked up the win to move to 2-0. Cesar Chairez suffered the loss. Mike Braasch earned the save for Dallas, his 20th.

Eric Brewer, who led the NC in hits with 191 in 2018, helped out the Dallas cause in the bottom of the fifth inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the third baseman went 2 for 4 with 2 singles.

Brewer told a Dallas Bulletin reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
