Carolina center fielder Blake Benigno was instrumental in helping the Reapers triumph, 6-4, over the Syracuse Scorpions. Benigno was 2-3 with a home run and 2 walks. Jake Schmitt earned the save for Carolina, his 11th of the year. Carolina bumps their record to 15-24 with the win.

With one out in the top of the seventh, Mike Green had a game-changing hit. The Reapers right fielder slammed a run-scoring single off Dave Holzman, making the score 4-2, Carolina.
