Mallory 3-for-5 as Scorpions Squash Sea Turtles
The Syracuse Scorpions beat the Daytona Beach Sea Turtles, 20-2, at Scorpion Stadium. Ryan Mallory, who is a five-time All-Star, starred for Syracuse. He was 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 5. The last-place Sea Turtles now sit at 16-23.

With Syracuse leading 1-0 in the bottom of the fourth, Mallory batted against Daytona Beach pitcher Jon Hoffman. Mallory hit a changeup to right for a 3-run home run. His 5th home run of the season put the Scorpions on top, 4-0.

"We'll pop the top on a cold beverage and get back to work tomorrow," Mallory said.
