Desperados Drop Contest, 8-1, to Cincinnati
|
Cincinnati took on Austin in front of a lively crowd.
The Cincinnati Royals beat the Austin Desperados, 8-1. Cincinnati pitcher and Three Lakes, Florida, native Stuart Maness led the way. Cincinnati has run its win streak to 5 in a row.
Cincinnati used a well-timed hit by Scott King to capture the win. The shortstop socked a 2-run double in the top of the fourth inning to put the Royals ahead, 3-0. Though it was his only hit in 3 at-bats, it was important.
"We didn't help ourselves, it's as simple as that," said losing manager .
