The Maine Pines picked up a win at Oakhurst Field, knocking off the Halifax Heathens, 6-4. Starting pitcher Matt Graham played a key role in the triumph. Jeff Weingart picked up the win in relief. His record improves to 1-0. John Dollar suffered the loss. Chris Hames got credit for the save for Maine. It was his 2nd of the year.

Had Brian Myers not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd, Myers hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 5-4, in favor of the Pines.

"We took advantage of our opportunities," Myers told the Maine Citizen. "It's as simple as that."

The defeat makes Halifax 17-21.
