Jay Thibodeaux powered the Dallas Dragons to a win over the Boston Whistlers. The final score was 4-3. The Dallas center fielder, who finished 4th in the NC in on-base percentage with .374 in 2018, was phenomenal. He stroked 3 extra-base hits, including 2 home runs and 1 double. Rick Ways, 1-0, earned the win in relief. He allowed 1 run on 3 hits in 2.2 innings. The win boosts the Dragons to 19-18. The loss puts the Whistlers at 25-12.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the ninth. With one out, Thibodeaux hit a fastball from Kory Tourville for a run-scoring double. The Dragons, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

"It was a solid team effort," Thibodeaux said. "That's usually what it takes to win."
