Gangsters Win at Dallas, 7-5
|
Tennant Healthcare Ballpark was the site for American Conference action featuring the Dallas Dragons and Chicago Gangsters.
The Chicago Gangsters picked up a win at Tennant Healthcare Ballpark, knocking off the Dallas Dragons, 7-5. Starting pitcher Sam Palacios played a key role in the triumph. Palacios got the win, improving to 1-6. He gave up 6 hits and walked 2 over 6.2 innings. He allowed 3 runs.
Chicago used the hitting of Alfredo Cruz to pick up the win. The center fielder clubbed a solo home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Gangsters on top, 5-3. For the game, Cruz had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Cruz told the Chicago Herald.
The win puts Chicago at 13-23.
