Aztecs Deal Eagles 3-2 Loss
|
The Mexico City Aztecs besoiled an otherwise fine performance by Indianapolis center fielder Adam McCumiskey by beating the Eagles, 3-2, at Eagles Stadium. McCumiskey was 4-4 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs. The winning pitcher was 27-year old right-handed pitcher Jaden Mack. He tossed 107 pitches over 6.1 innings, allowing 1 run on 7 hits. The wins continue to add up for Mexico City. The latest makes it 9 in a row.
Tobias Rivera, who is on pace for 131 RBI this season, had a direct impact on the outcome. Rivera contributed a solo home run in the top of the fourth inning to put Mexico City up, 3-0.
"It doesn't matter if you're 10 games over .500 or 10 games under, it feels good to win," Rivera told the Mexico City Bulletin.
