San Francisco got a big-time effort from pitcher Edwin Rincones, but it wasn't enough to keep the Cincinnati Royals from winning the game, 4-3. Rincones threw 7.2 innings of 3-hit ball for the losing team. Cincinnati reliever Matt McCracken was the winner. His record is now 1-0. The losing pitcher was Jesus Henriguez. Cincinnati now owns a record of 21-15.

Scott King made it 4-3, in favor of Cincinnati when he delivered a 2-run single. It came with two out in the top of the ninth. The Royals went on to win.

"We did a lot of really good things and it was a good win," said Royals manager Justin Aaron.
