Reapers Suffer 4-2 Road Loss
Baseball fans saw a good contest between the Fountain Hills 23ers and Carolina Reapers.

The Fountain Hills 23ers got a stellar effort from pitcher Sam Naber, helping Fountain Hills score a win over the visiting Carolina Reapers, 4-2. Naber yielded 2 runs over 5.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 4 hits, walked 2, and struck out 5. His record improves to 2-3.

The 23ers got a big at-bat from first baseman Brad Stein. For the game, Stein went 1 for 4 with a double. He drove in 2 runs. In the bottom of the second, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 6th double of the season gave Fountain Hills a 2-1 lead.

Fountain Hills manager Efren Nieman was pleased with the team's effort. "It was just a good, gutsy performance by everybody," he said.
