Dragons Win with Late Rally
|
The Dallas Dragons had to overcome a fine effort from Chicago pitcher Ronnie Miller to win, 5-4, in 11 innings at Tennant Healthcare Ballpark. Miller went 6 innings and allowed 2 runs. Mike Braasch earned the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2 innings. His record is now 1-1. The loss makes Chicago 12-23.
Dallas got a clutch hit from Chris Beasley. The left fielder launched a solo home run in the bottom of the 11th inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a kill shot.
"He who laughs last laughs best," Beasley said, postgame.
