Indianapolis parlayed a decent outing from starter Aaron Daniels into a solid win over the Fountain Hills 23ers. The final score was 6-2. Daniels, the winner, moves to 2-1. He threw 8 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 9 and giving up 2 walks. The slumping 23ers have lost 6 straight.

In the bottom of the third inning, the Eagles grabbed the lead when Victor Mendez rapped a two-out single. Indianapolis was trailing 2-1, when Mendez hit a 2-run single off Curtis Gring to put his team in front, 3-2.

"We have a lot of confidence in Aaron," said Indianapolis manager Pete DuBay.
