Stars Take Nail-Biter Over Scorpions
Hollywood beat Syracuse at Hollywood Grounds, escaping with a 5-4 win in 13 innings. The win in large part was due to designated hitter Eric Daniel. He was 4-6 with a home run, a triple, and a double. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Hollywood pitcher Omar Navarrete got the win, upping his record to 2-2. Elijah Miller got the loss. Hollywood occupies third place in the National Conference West Division at 16-18.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the 13th. With two out, Daniel hit a slider from Mike Kelley for a run-scoring double. The Stars, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

"Winning in the last at-bat, there's nothing else like it," said Daniel.
