John Hennig, who is tied for 7th in the NC with a 1.02 WHIP, was terrific for the Indianapolis Eagles in his team's 7-1 triumph over the Detroit Giants. His performance earned Hennig rave reviews. Hennig, the winner, moves to 3-3. He threw 7 innings of 2-hit ball, while fanning 7 and giving up 3 walks. With this game in the books, Indianapolis is 19-14, Detroit 11-22.

The Giants had been locked in a 1-1 tie with the Eagles going into the bottom of the fourth inning. That changed quickly when the former first round draft pick Jerry Robinson came to the plate. Robinson hit a 2-run home run on a 1-0 sinker from Detroit hurler Mike Wroten. It was Robinson's 14th home run of the year.

"I just tried to focus on getting that first guy out every inning," said Hennig.
