Nightmare Sunk by Royals
The Cincinnati Royals got a marvelous performance from pitcher Juan Fernandez. The right-hander kept the New York offense from ever getting much traction. The result was an impressive 3-1 Cincinnati victory at The Castle. Wayne Harless wrapped it up, recording his 11th save. Cincinnati is now 21-11.

The Royals got a big at-bat from first baseman Aaron Jalbert. For the game, Jalbert went 1 for 4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the first, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 5th home run of the season gave Cincinnati a 2-0 lead.

"I'm proud to wear a Cincinnati jersey," Jalbert told the Cincinnati Citizen. "We played a good game and came out with the win. What more can you ask for?"
