Offen Leads Detroit Past Cincinnati
The Castle was the site for American Conference action featuring the Cincinnati Royals and Detroit Giants.

The Detroit Giants picked up a win at The Castle, topping the Cincinnati Royals, 5-1. On the mound for Detroit was right-hander Danny Offen. He played a principal role in the triumph. Earning his 8th save of the year was Lee Maher.

Offen ran roughshod over the Cincinnati lineup. The right-hander allowed just 3 hits over 8.1 innings, while striking out 7. With the victory, he goes to 5-0 on the season.

"Danny is a gamer," said Detroit manager Sean O'Leary.

Cincinnati is now 15-17.
