Royals Deal 23ers 2-1 Loss
|
Fans witnessed a whale of a game between the Cincinnati Royals and Fountain Hills 23ers.
Cincinnati Royals starter Josh Huggins turned in an exceptional performance against the Fountain Hills 23ers at Fountain Park, resulting in a Cincinnati win, 2-1. Roberto Salazar closed out the game, earning his 8th save.
Cincinnati used a well-timed hit by Jason Paulsen to capture the win. The right fielder socked a run-scoring double in the top of the fourth inning to put the Royals ahead, 2-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.
"If you chase it, you need to get it," said Cincinnati skipper Justin Aaron.
The loss lowers the Fountain Hills record to 18-13.
