Fire Lasso 5-2 Victory
|
The San Francisco Fire got a strong performance from pitcher James Dobyns. Wacko stymied the Boston offense en route to a solid, 5-2 win at San Francisco Grounds. The winner was San Francisco reliever Chris Hinojosa, now 2-0. The loser was Jay Helm. Jesus Henriguez sewed up the save, his 6th.
Kyle Nash hit a 2-run triple off Jay Helm in the bottom of the sixth, which put the Fire in front, 4-2. Nash had 1 walk, in addition to the triple. For the game, he went 1 for 3.
"We did enough to win," said Nash.
With the win, San Francisco climbs to 12-17.
