The Boston Whistlers defeated the San Francisco Fire, 10-5, in part because of center fielder Oliver Damon. Damon was 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 3 times and drove in 2 for the Whistlers. Dusty Thomas locked down his 1st save. San Francisco drops to 9-20.

In the bottom of the third, former first round draft pick Evan Stowe hit a grand slam home run. The 6th home run of the season for the Boston shortstop put the Whistlers on top, 5-3.

"I still think this team can play even better," Damon told the Boston Daily.
